Polar Seafood Denmark is one of Denmark’s largest seafood companies, specialised in processing and distributing quality products to customers worldwide.
SustainX has supported Polar Seafood Denmark in strengthening its sustainability work through four projects: a double materiality analysis to identify the most significant ESG themes, a gap analysis of data maturity in relation to the EU’s CSRD requirements, the development of a sustainability strategy, and technical support for climate accounts, including expertise in defining organisational boundaries.
The projects were carried out in close collaboration between Polar Seafood Denmark’s own ESG staff, SustainX advisors, and a broad range of internal stakeholders. The process created a shared understanding and a clear language for sustainability across the organisation.
The result is a structured and embedded framework that provides Polar Seafood Denmark with deeper insights, clear priorities, and concrete initiatives to drive its sustainability work forward—both now and in the years ahead.
Søstrene Grene is an international retail company working ambitiously with sustainability and ESG. Over the past few years, we have had a close collaboration with the company’s Sustainability team, where ongoing dialogue and sparring have been a central part of the process, ensuring continuity and steady progress.
The collaboration began with a gap analysis based on Søstrene Grene’s already existing double materiality analysis. On that basis, we jointly identified key focus areas and development points that formed the framework for the continued work.
Since then, we have supported Søstrene Grene in developing its ESG strategy, establishing clear reporting governance, and creating a roadmap that links the strategy with the results of the gap analysis. This ongoing and close collaboration has strengthened the company’s foundation and contributed to creating a clear direction for how Søstrene Grene can continue working with ESG in a structured and focused way.
Milton Huse is a nationwide construction company that designs and builds single-family homes across Denmark. Milton Huse wanted to strengthen its ESG efforts and create a solid foundation for future work.
Together with Milton Huse, we carried out a double materiality analysis with a clear strategic focus, combining thorough research, management workshops, and ongoing sparring. This approach ensured broad anchoring within the organisation and a clear focus on the most material topics.
To secure a structured and concrete roadmap, we then developed a plan showing how Milton Huse can prioritise and structure its strategic ESG initiatives. The roadmap includes specific actions to be launched for each material topic, with clear prioritisation and responsibilities. With this foundation, Milton Huse is now even stronger in its sustainability and ESG work and can continue to develop in a focused way in the coming years.
Lars Larsen Group is an international group with activities across a broad portfolio of companies. We collaborated with Lars Larsen Group on project management and advisory related to their commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
The project process required coordination and close dialogue with portfolio companies, as well as an understanding of impacts across the group. It demanded insight into climate accounting, target-setting, and documentation both at the individual company level and across the entire group.
Together with the Lars Larsen Group Sustainability & ESG team, we facilitated an effective process that resulted in the establishment and approval of SBTi targets. This has provided Lars Larsen Group with a clear set of goals that they can now work strategically toward achieving.
JYSK is an international retail chain with more than 3,500 stores worldwide. Over the past three years, SustainX and JYSK have built a strong collaboration.
The partnership began with the development of a full climate account together with JYSK and resulted in the approval of climate targets by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). In this project, we contributed with expertise in climate accounting and SBTi, hands-on calculations, and project management skills.
Alongside the preparation of the climate account, we supported JYSK in conducting its double materiality assessment and facilitated in-depth analyses to ensure the implementation of the results across the organisation. Following this, several concrete projects were identified, which we have also helped to carry out.
Throughout the years, the collaboration has been driven by a dedicated team working closely with JYSK’s Sustainability team, leading to tangible solutions tailored to the company’s setup and ways of working.
Geveko Markings is a global leader in producing and supplying road marking materials, with a focus on infrastructure solutions that improve traffic safety. For several years, we have had a close and trusted collaboration with Geveko Markings, characterised by ongoing dialogue, professional sparring, and a shared ambition to strengthen the company’s ESG work.
The collaboration began with the establishment of a solid ESG baseline, where together we mapped the company’s Scope 1 and 2 emissions and carried out a double materiality assessment. This gave Geveko Markings a strong foundation for prioritising initiatives and structuring ESG work strategically.
As the company expanded and acquired new businesses, we continuously updated and recalculated Scope 1 and 2 while also establishing a practice for Scope 3 calculations. This ensured a holistic approach to climate accounting and created transparency across the value chain.
In parallel, we supported Geveko Markings with several projects, including the implementation of climate accounting software. The digital solution provided the company with a data-driven and consistent basis for both reporting and follow-up, strengthening the quality of ESG work.
Building on this foundation, we developed a reduction roadmap and a gap analysis that clarified where further efforts are needed to reach Geveko Markings’ ambitions and targets. The result laid the groundwork for a clear strategy with concrete goals, a complete climate account, and an action plan pointing the way forward.
This long-term partnership has not only delivered measurable results but also strengthened Geveko Markings’ strategic position to realise its sustainability ambitions, with a strong focus on meeting future requirements and opportunities.
Danish Agro is one of the largest suppliers of feed, machinery, technology, and advisory services to the agricultural sector in Denmark.
Since 2024, SustainX has worked closely with Danish Agro’s ESG team on a series of ESG-strategic projects, ranging from CSRD compliance to establishing the company’s Scope 3 baseline year. Across a global value chain with more than 50 subsidiaries, we worked systematically in a complex data landscape and modelled emission factors using multiple databases.
The collaboration has established a solid methodological foundation that can form the basis for an action-oriented climate reduction plan toward Danish Agro’s ESG goals.
Throughout the collaboration, both parties have exchanged relevant knowledge and expertise on climate accounting in the agricultural sector, with the aim of strengthening collective know-how and anchoring within the company.
